Booking Instructions for Blinkbonny Holiday Cottage

Once we have confirmed that the cottage is free we will reserve the property for 10 days from receipt of the enquiry. We will then send you a booking form for you to complete and then return to us with a cheque for the value of the deposit of 25% of the rental due.
The booking will then be confirmed by us and we will send you a confirmation form detailing your payment and the outstanding balance and the final balance. The confirmation will contain a tear off slip for you to return with your balance 6 weeks before the commencement of your holiday.
Upon receipt of your balance, we will issue a further confirmation and then two weeks before the star holiday we will send out the keys for the cottage and details of how to find it .
Blink bonny Terms and Conditions of Hire
Thanks you for choosing to book our cottage for your holiday we hope you enjoy your stay . the following terms and conditions apply to your booking . this forms the terms of a legally binding contract between you and us .
Rental Price The rental price includes the accommodation for the number of nights highlighted on your booking confirmation . the price includes bed linen but not your towels , all gas and electricity is included in the rental price
Bookings A reservation can be made and this will be held for ten days from the date on the booking form which will be sent out to you via E-mail or in hard copy. If the payment for the deposit has not been received after ten days the reservation will lapse and will be able to be booked by someone else.
Deposit and balance If you book more than six weeks before arrival , a rental deposit will be due to be paid by cheque or bank transfer . the rental deposit is 25%of the rental fee . The balance of the rental price is due six weeks before your arrival. Failure to pay the balance by the date specified amounts to cancellation and we are entitled to re let the cottage and the deposit will not be returned.If you book within six weeks of your arrival date you are required to pay the full amount due which will include the full rental fee. bond.
Cancellation by you If you cancel your.booking you will lose your rental deposit.If you cancel more than six weeks before your scheduled arrival date you will not be charged for the remainder rental balance of your booking .If you cancel six weeks or less before arrival , or fail to occupy your property of leave before your due departure date , we reserve the right to retian the full balance paid for the whole of your booking less any costs saved by us as a result of your cancellation , for example if we were able to let your accommodation.Cancellations must be confirmed writing it is recommended that you take out holiday insurance which provides for cancellation cover.
Cancellation by us In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your booking we will attempt to find you similar accommodation in the area . If suitable accommodation cannot be found then will refund all the monies paid by you and will confirm that you are not liable for any more payments to us. In any circumstances where you are entitled to compensation the limit of our liability arising from the breach of contract on our part will be up to a maximum of twice the cost of the property of the rental price. If suitable accommodation is found then this will not be regarded as a breach of contract on our part in such circumstances compensation will not be payable in those circumstances.
Arrival and DepartureYour accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of your arrival and until 10 am on the day of your departure . Earlier arrivals and departures are by prior arrangements only . If you do not depart by 10 am on the day of your departure we reserve the right to charge for any loss we incur as a consequence of this. The accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy condition, and we reserve the right to charge you if our opinion the accommodation needs additional cleaning than would otherwise be reasonably expected.
Inventory and AppliancesAn inventory of the kitchen contents will be in the house information folder . this should be checked and any deficiencies notified immediately. If you choose a problem with an appliance you should notify us immediately.
Damage, Loss and BreakageWe are sure that you will take due care of the property during your stay and we acknowledge that accidents sometimes happen . All damage, loss and breakages must be notified to us immediately. We do however reserve the right to charge for any damage, loss or breakages which we consider was deliberately or recklessly caused . If the damage is discovered after your departure you will be notified in writing as soon as is reasonably practical. We also reserve the right to charge if we are unable to let the accommodation as a consequence of such loss, damage or breakage.
Noise and Nuisance You must not cause a nuisance or disturbance to neighbouring accommodation or behave in an unreasonable way.The playing of music or making any noise that is clearly audible in nearby accommodation after 11 pm is not permitted. If we consider that guests are in breach of this condition then we reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately . You will not be entitled to a refund for the balance of your stay.
Maximum OccupancyThe maximum occupancy for the property is four people , this must not be exceeded and additional guests must not be accommodated on the rented property under any circumstances . If we consider that guests are in breach of this condition then we reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately . You will not be entitled to a refund for the balance of your stay.
Smoking Policy The cottage and gardens are non smoking and if we find that guests have been smoking on the property the we reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately . Whether or not you are asked to leave , we also reserve the right to charge further sums if we are unable to let the accommodation whilst it is fully aired. You will be notified in writing as soon as is reasonably practicable if evidence of smoking is discovered after you depart.
Pets We do accept one well behaved pet in the property but they are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs . We expect guests to clear up the pets mess immediately outside on the property and would also remind guests to scoup the poop any where within the village . Please also clean up any excess pet hair caused by moulting and we reserve the right to charge for any extra cleaning caused by excessive moulting or other such instances. The cost will be deducted from your security deposit.
Our Liability We do not accept any liability for damage to your property or injury to you ( or other members of you party) whilst on our property unless caused by the negligence of us , or our employees.
Data Any data collected as a result of your booking will be stored in accordance with the provision of current Data Protection Legislation.
LawAny dispute between us will be governed by the non-exclusive law of the English Courts.
